The HSE Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all the construction works on site are executed in accordance with the Project HSE Plan and Procedure and more generally with the client’s Procedure and Safety standards.
He advises the Project Manager and the Site Manager for HSE issues.
Must report immediately to the Site Manager and to the Project Manager any Dangerous situations, incident or accident. The HSE Coordinator has the authority to stop any potentially dangerous activity immediately.
As the total scope of work and number of activities in parallel are limited, the HSE Coordinator is also responsible for all the administrative issues at site (activities generally made by the Site administrator and the Site Secretary).
Main Activities:
During the Project Initiation Phase, the main actions to carry on by the HSE Coordinator are the following :
1. Review of the HSE Plan,
2. Writing/Review of Method Statements of the different type of works to be carried on in order to evaluate the risks and propose relevant solutions to mitigate them,
3. Safety Induction courses (H2S/BA, Mesaieed Induction course, PTW),
4. Preparation of HSE reports and statistics,
5. Preparation of HSE follow-up documents.
