General responsibilities:
By delegation from the Project manager and the project Control Manager, the Planning Engineer mission is to:
• Review, update, the project schedule
• Adapt the project schedule to the project requirements
• Evaluate the progress done by activity by physically checking the status of the work
• Day-to-day review of our detailed site planning
• Issue Planning and scheduling Progress Monitoring.
He is responsible for issuing and updating the Project planning under the responsibility of the Project Control Manager who is in charge of planning.
Project Execution Stage:
• Ensure the planning reflects the effective progress as per Project Control Manager Instructions at all execution stages.
• Periodic reporting, as much as necessary, on actual status, trend analysis and forecast
• Execute day-to-day update of the detailed site activity schedule
• Monitoring progress and comparing this with the projected schedule of work
• Propose some mitigation measures in case that some delays are forecasted
• Assist the Site Manager and Project Control Manager in the regular meetings to review the Project Status.
• Review, follow and comment our subcontractor’s planning
• Be in constant co-ordination with the Project control manager and with the Site Manager.
• Proposal and follow up of corrective actions to remedy to schedule shortfalls as soon as they are identified.
